Since I don't know much about shower curtains and carrots, maybe just an
introduction would be good.

I live in Houston TX and have loved German language music for a long time now.  I discovered it when Rammstein's Du Hast used to play on MTV, when MTV was really music (hopefully some of you can remember that far back in time too).  I listened to their songs over and over trying to learn the language, which I never really learned worth a flip, but I can sing along (badly) to many of their songs, and other bands too now.

From Rammstein, I discovered Megaherz, followed Alexx to Eisbrecher, met many wonderful people on the forums there and eventually met the owner of Germanmetal.com on the original orginal site (and this version is so much better now!)

Over the years, I've found so many awesome bands, I hardly listen to anything else. 

So again, welcome and tell us a little about yourselves!  Have fun here!

Hi everyone.

I'm living in Holland (The Netherlands) near Rotterdam. For a part in my Mobile Home (Mercedes L406DG '69) and the other part by my wife.

I work as a Shuttledriver and drive 3 or 4 days a week to Charles de Gaulle near Paris.

I got 2 daughters, my oldest (Priscilla) is 8 years old, and my youngest (Svenja) is 8 weeks old. I love them! my beautiful girls.

My hobby's are: Art, Music, My Camper, My work, Traveling.

So, why i'm interested in German Metal?

First, i love Germany !!!

and i love the language,

and i want to immigrate to Germany so fast as possible (need help!).

So i love Germany and i love Metal, maybe that's the reason that my favorite listening is German Metal!!!

My favorite (sub)Genre's are: Black Metal, Doom Metal, Folk Metal, Medieval Metal, Symphonic Metal.

Top-band-list: Corvus Corax, Eisregen, Estatic Fear, Ewigheim, Falkenbach, Finntroll, Hocico, Letzte Instanz, Nachtblut, Saltatio Mortis, Schelmish, Suicide Commando, Tanzwut, Windir.

(and many many more........ But uhhh this was my Top-14 :P)

Hey all I'm hailing from Western Sydney, Australia. I'm welsh/Irish/Austrian/German... yeah I know, my ancestors must have gotten around.

I've recently finished high school and my final exams. I work in a hardware store called bunnings but I like to call it Slavedriver's incorporated, but hey its a job.

I really enjoy music, art, growing: Orchids, Pumpkins,Melons & Carnivorous plants, & travelling. I play guitar and piano, my 6 string is a BC Rich Warbeast 1 and until very recently I haven't been able to play it very often but now that I have more time I'm going to start writing songs again.

Why do I like German metal? well Ich Leiebe Deutsch,Deutschland und Ich Leibe Metall! That's why. I've had an affinity with Germany, its history and its language since i was about 10 or so (as well as Japan/Japanese might i add)and it's just stuck. My first experience with German metal however wasn't until 4 years ago, well i instantly loved it and the rest is history.

Personally Id love to live in Germany for a while, but I've decided to teach English in Japan for a few years to save up some money then travel. I'm learning German and Japanese at the moment (well i did learn Japanese in school until they cancelled it in yr 9) and i can so far introduce myself and tell people what I like, where I'm from and ask their name.

Id really like to make some friends from Germany and fellow German metal lovers from surrounding areas, so feel free to say hi and drop a message, heck speak to me in German if you like id love to enhance my language skills more and more:)
