Alexx’s statement about him leaving the band Goodbye! The time has come for me after 10 years of Megaherz to say "Adios"; starting the first of January, Wenz, X-ti, Olli, and Jürgen will continue without me; I have reached more with Megaherz than I ever thought possible; I have fought for German-language rock music, I wanted to show the people in Germany that their own language is more than well suited to make good rock music too; Yes, we had problems with the press as it officially began in 1997 with "Wer bist du"; we were condemned yearlong as a cheap Rammstein-copy and ignored, but we didn't give up and that was right and good. In 1992 I had a vision and I lived for this vision and fought tirelessly; today we have friends and fans in the whole world (thanks to "Gott sein" and all the napster-users that thought it was a Rammstein song at the time); thanks to Betsy and Jobarr, you guys are the key to our international fans; we have so much to thank you for that it can't be expressed in words; your passion and enthusiasm brought so many people to us (and vice versa), that every record company and every management look like idiots in comparison with their boring ideas. I would like to thank everyone that has helped us not to give up and who believed in us and our ex-members: Noel Pix, Frank, Andi Knote, Gregor Minnig at ZYX, Peter Mathea, John Funk....just to name a few. I am not fed up with music; I won't just leave and knit socks; I will not do the music business that favor, to say goodbye forever, because I like to be a "pain in the ass" much too much! But: Megaherz and Alex do not love each other anymore; I am leaving the band because I represent a different artistic-creative and visionary opinion than the others; we have drifted apart and we can not work together anymore. This happens in families, businesses, bands, and friendships; a shame, but true; I wish Mhz well and would like to close with the following words: höchste zeit, jetzt muss ich gehen, wir werden uns bald wieder sehn, zulange schon quält mich diese sucht, die mir die kraft entzieht! Megaherz’s statement about Alexx leaving the band Liebe Herzwerker, Alexx will leave the band per his own wish in January of 2003. We regret this very much and wish him only the best on his own private and musical way. We thank Alexx for the cool moments that we were able to experience together, for the music that emerged from them, and for the great parties that we were able to celebrate with him and our fans. As he already indicated in his comment, upon reflection only the music counts anyway and when it suffers from the whole situation, then it is certainly the only solution ... even when it hurts. BUT: Megaherz will keep on going as it has become far too much a part of us all. Wenz, X-ti, Olli, and Jürgen will NOT throw in the towel! We will roll up our sleeves now, take steps to find new frontpeople, and continue to release records in the future. We promise you, Megaherz are "higher, faster, and further". Have patience, give us some time. We're just looking forward now! For us a new era is beginning. Lots of work lies ahead of us. All gigs up to this point in time that are in our Tourdates will take place with Alexx of course. Let's prepare thunderous parties for him. We look forward to seeing you.
